In a few words...
Born in Lunel on september the 18th 1945, the author bathed into passion for the Camargue. Arenas are a place for great joy and emotion shared with his grandfather Sylvain Faure during Sunday's bullfights.

There begins his bull passion roots
Being a childhood friend of Charles Hugo, he can see at the mas de Fourques, the luminous paintings of Jean Hugo, his father. Later, with the great painter he will share numerous points of view exchanges about art, nature, and modern civilization materialized by sketches and gouaches of the Languedoc sceneries.
In 1968 painting becomes his way of expression. He complete his art training at Montpellier art school and drawing lessons with Daniel Rivière drawing teacher in Brussels art school. While 1970 Robert Faure develops his first photography.
He took part in artistic group exhibitions of the Languedoc area. His first private varnishing day stands at the Villevieille castle in 1981. During the summer in 1985 his paintings are shown in La Grande Motte. Lunel, his birth place, greats his work several times.

For him, the capital of the Languedoc opens the doors of the old Montpellier museum on october 1987 and Nîmes of the Théâtre de la Renaissance on october 1988. In spring of the same year "La Camargue terre de Lumière "is published with his photos.
In 1999 a new edition of his first book"Fanfonne Guillierme, the great Lady of the Camargue "happens. The former edition was from 1986. He signs the recent photos and new gouache illustrations under the new title "In the Camargue with Fanfonne Guillierme ".
2002 comes with a new book "With Jean Hugo " published by the same editor.
On October 1983 one private exhibition shows both his paintings and photos in Lunel. In 2008 he also published the beautiful story of one bull breeder family "The Blatière, men and bulls" and a new updated edition of "In the Camargue with Fanfonne Guillierme ". Both works at the "Nouvelles Presses du Langudoc".
